The feeling of fear, the realities of change & taking stock…

I felt a twinge of fear yesterday.

It was a work thing, someone leaving.

It gave rise to a stomach felt anxiety or fear.

It created a little change in my ‘life’ that I was expecting & needed to be dealt with.

This is where some/all of the fear comes from – a change.

We cannot just carry on as we were. We cannot continue doing what we were doing.

We have to deal with the change.

Once we start dealing with this change then we can move forward.

  • How does this change manifest itself to me? – financial, physical, emotional?
  • What do we need to do? – react, nothing?
  • How is it actually affecting us? – good, bad, indifferent?

We need to deal with it so that we can carry on.

The rationale appears & the overall question that needs answering arises – what does this actually mean to me?

  • Does this change mean I have to change?
  • Does this change actually mean nothing has really changed & I can carry on?

The reality of my fear from yesterday was after I had run through all these questions & taken stock of what it all meant.

Nothing had really changed.

I didn’t need to change.

The change had been dealt with.

The fear had gone.
